In the workshop we fired up a dual bifilar coil at 3 volts per winding and watched a separate pickup coil stack 38-39V DC on the cap bank with no load. I talk through ideas for putting another coil under to chase residual spin self-running while staying honest about conservation of energy.

I had the phone upside down but we got the numbers right side up and jumped in. Turned the dual bifilar coil up to 3 volts and the real story was the pickup coil dumping 38-39 volts DC straight onto the cap bank. No load yet so we don't know the current but the voltage was climbing.

We talked about hooking another drive coil to that cap bank on its own transistor so the residual spin might keep things turning for a little while. Not forever, just a fun toy maybe. The laws of physics are clear: you can't create energy, only change its form. Entropy wins in the end.

Still, watching that residual magnetism generate a bit of DC after the power is pulled is pretty cool on the bench. We even tested a copper plate near the magnets — zero reading. Next up we'll try closing the loop with a 16 gauge coil and see what happens.

Yo, you got it upside down. Is it upside down? >> It I mean you're right side up. >> Okay. Is the numbers right side up? >> Yes. >> All right. Sweet. Cuz the phone is upside down. So, all right. Here we go. All right. Sure. Now, >> we're going to find out. >> All right. I'm going turn this up to 3 volts. Makasaki. I'm going turn this up to 3 volts. Now, what I wanted to focus on wasn't the fact that I'm putting power into the dual bif filer coil. It's two by filers in one coil. That's awesome. That's totally awesome. I don't think it's ever been done before. I don't think anybody ever thought of doing it. So, that's three volts in on each bif filer. But what I really wanted to focus in was this pickup coil. It's hooked up to the cat bank. And this is how much DC voltage is coming out of it. 38 39. >> Yeah. >> Oh. >> So, but there's no load on it currently. So, I don't know what the flow rate is. But I do know that the DC voltage from this pickup coil is stacking up on the meter. >> Yep. >> So, I'm thinking I could put another coil under here that runs on 3 volts. Hook it up on a different transistor. Hook that up as its power supply. So when I do this, it will run. It will continue to function for a little while. I'm not saying forever. >> I hear you. >> Yeah. And I And I don't So what? It's great if I get it to run for a little bit without power. That's awesome. I can make a toy out of that. >> Yeah, >> a little kid could play with. But see, like right now the residual spin is generating DC electricity. It's dwindling, granted, but if it was running something that that would last for at least mathematically a little while, but you know, it's all going to it's all going to run down to the same principle that you can't create energy. Okay? can't create energy. Uh energy is and it's finite. Can't create it or destroy it. And there's only so much of it. Okay, that's that's the truth. That's laws of physics. So, am I going to get more out than I put in? It's going to be entropy is what's going to happen. It's going to be different when it comes out. Will it be able to do more than when it was when it put it in? I don't know. It's going to be different when it comes out. So I mean a a form of entropy that's going on with the electricity is we we're we're doing AC DC and then we put it through electrolyte capacitor that changes it. It's a chemical uh reaction and then we put it through a different capacitor that changes it again. Then we put it and then it goes into multimeter. But I understand that changing the structure of something changes everything about it basically. So it would change its output. It would change what it requires to run it. Would change a lot of things you know everything would change. Change the foundation change the structure. Um, this coil right here, the drive coil and the pickup coil together make an awesome combination. And I'm looking forward to hooking something, hooking a load up to this uh, cap bank and seeing what we can do with that. I want to hook up my 16 gauge coil, the one that I've been running all the time here. see if we can't get this coil to run off that cap bank from the residual spin of of this. Or, you know, we'll start them both running at the same time and we'll turn these two off. See if this one will continue going cuz I know it'll start running. I know that. I can't wait to find out. Be something like that. Let it be lifted up. Of course, I got to find something to put it on. And then we'll take this transistor and we'll hook it up. Bam. Done playing with the pancake coil for now, but we'll get back to that. Um, we're going to play with the Utron for a little bit. Yeah. And I'm I'm going to do a copper infused PLA one. I don't think it's going to make a difference, but it'll be harder, so it won't break as as easy as this one would. We'll see though. Uh I did, you know, like do some experiments. I put stuff like this underneath or near the magnets and I hooked, you know, the probes to them. See if we can get any charge off of it. And the answer to that question is no. >> No, >> it's not. For one, it's not enamel wire. It's not wire with enamel on it. So, you're not getting that. We're not even getting any kind of charge whatsoever. So, I do think that if we put a plate of copper, real copper, on next to this, and we clipped the two clips to it, we'd get a reading. I'm not I think we should try that actually real quick on the video here. Grab a piece of copper cuz I could be totally wrong talking out of my behind. Zero >> zero. >> No reading whatsoever. But electricity will travel through that. >> Yes. It's kind of a bummer, you know, but I I had a feeling that there wasn't going to be any reading. Uh that doesn't mean that the oscilloscope won't pick something up, but uh we're we're going to take it as nothing happened. Then it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. It just means that nothing happened. Sometimes that is a good sign, a good reading. All right. So, that'll be for the next one. Uh we're going to hook up the load this coil to the cat bank and we're going to see if it'll uh selfrun closed loop for any given amount of time. So we're going to prime it. We're going to run it.
