Single vs bifilar vs trifilar
- Single: simplest drive coil
- Bifilar: two wires wound together (classic Bedini)
- Trifilar: three paths — drive, trigger, pickup options
Technique
Tape wires together for multi-filar winds. Mark ends before you start. Keep tension even. Secure with tape or varnish.
Targets
Track DC resistance with a multimeter. Match wire gauge to goal: thick for current punch, thin for more turns and higher inductance.
